Disposal hums when I flip the switch but the blades do not spin. Reset button popped once.

A hum without spin often means something is jammed or the motor is stalled.
1. Turn off the switch and unplug under the sink if you can reach the cord safely.
2. Use the hex key on the bottom center socket and rock back and forth — sometimes frees a jam.
